Indexation

The value of money decreases due to inflation. If prices rise, you can buy less items with the same amount of money. This means the purchasing power of money decreases. This also applies to your pension. In order to maintain the purchasing power of your pension, Pensioenfonds Ernst & Young tries to increase the pensions annually. We call this indexation.

Provisional indexation

Pensioenfonds Ernst & Young annually decides whether or not it is possible to increase the pensions. This depends on the investment yield earned. This is why the increase is conditional: you are not automatically entitled to it.

Indexation in the last three years

The pension fund has increased your pension with the following rates in the last three years:

  • With 0.62% as of 1 January 2018. During this year the price level increased with 1.3%.
  • With 0.10% as of 1 January 2017. During this year the price level increased with 0.4%.
  • With 0.11% as of 1 January 2016. During this year the price level increased with 0.4%.
